BSPU has solid relations with many Chinese educational institutions. Besides developing student exchanges and joint cultural activities with Chinese universities, BSPU has been conducting a number of researches in Chinese studies. Annually, it holds one of the most important conferences in Russia on Chinese studies “Russia and China: the History and Perspectives for Cooperation.
Several books on China written by BSPU professors were given to the Library of Congress, Harvard University, Stanford University, New School for Social research and other American universities.
In 2014, a group of researchers from Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical university initiated a research project “Russia, US and China in the contemporary world: mutual perspectives of Russian, American and Chinese youth.” About 400 students were questioned during the research. Their answers let get the data on US, Chinese and Russian youth’s mass consciousness level perceptions of the role of Russian, Chinese and US policy.
